Tokyo-based alternative and shoegaze outfit CAUCUS released their new single “Kids” on April 22, 2026. The track arrives as part of the lead-up to their first full-length album since 2017’s Sound of the Air, hinting at what’s to come.
The song is self-produced by vocalist/guitarist Katsuya Yanagawa, who handled recording, mixing, and mastering. Notably, this version differs from the one planned for the upcoming album, offering a distinct take as a standalone single. The return of original member Hiroko (Gt/Vo) also marks a new phase for the band’s current lineup.
Drawing heavily from overseas indie influences, “Kids” features melancholic, all-English lyrics layered over a floating, immersive soundscape—firmly rooted in dream pop and shoegaze aesthetics.
