The model resurfaces as part of the brand’s curated MUZM collection, reconnecting a new generation with Oakley’s Y2K-era design language.
The reissue preserves the silhouette that defined the original, including its organic shape, deeply set lenses, and oversized Heavy Stretch logo detailing. Updated with modern functionality, the new version incorporates Prizm™ lens technology while maintaining the bold aesthetic that made the model a cult favorite.
Constructed with lightweight O-Matter™ material, the frame balances flexibility and durability, making it suitable for everyday wear as much as for performance use.
The release is also tied to Oakley’s “Players Collection,” a series spotlighting athletes shaping contemporary sports culture. Featured in the campaign is professional footballer Alexia Putellas, a Team Oakley athlete known not only for her achievements on the field but also for advocating gender equality in sports.
“FatCat has a rare balance of heritage and futurism,” says Putellas. “It feels rooted in defining moments of sports culture while still looking ahead.”
The MUZM FatCat arrives in two colorways: matte black with Prizm™ Grey lenses, and cream with Prizm™ 24K polarized lenses. The release launches on May 27 via Oakley’s official online store, select Oakley flagship stores in Shibuya, Osaka, Harajuku, and Fukuoka, as well as select retailers.
